What is BibleStudyforKids.com?
This website originated as a means of sharing the Bible with children.
Designed for use as a teaching tool for children from Kindergarten to 6th
Grade; from one child to a group.
Children of all ages never tire of hearing God's Living Word. The
Bible is it's own best teacher, and our job is to make it fun or everyone.
Our purpose is to open up the abundance of Jesus Christ and his LOVE
to children. We emphasize a child's worth as precious to the Father.
We are sisters and brothers who believe Jesus Christ is God's Son and
embrace His Lordship over our lives.
With Powerful Point Presentations, lessons,
stories, devotions, games and coloring pages, we affirm inclusion of
everyone who asks, seeks and knocks looking for a relationship with our
Lord. His presence is all around. This community embraces and
demonstrates His love every day of our lives.
What Is Permissible?
As a nondenominational body of believers, we encourage writing that points
to the issues stated above. Our mission is to maintain personal
dignity without slurs or use of bad language. Racism is not tolerated.
Writing that champions different faiths has no place here.
What Are the Ages of the Website's Readers?
The Website is designed for All Ages. It includes the Teachers,
Parents, Anyone who gives instruction ... all the way down to the youngest
child who enjoys reading with a friend. It is meant to serve, mentor,
support those teaching and provide activities for those who are learning.
At this time the Powerful Points Presentations are aimed at the Kindergarten
to 6th Grade, but that will not always be so.
What Types of Materials are Acceptable?
Stories should display a moral of good behavior. Parables are
instructive and can be powerful tools. Bible fiction and Scripture
Stories are desirable. Articles will be considered after a query is
answered
Poems, games Puzzles, prayers are encouraged. Stories must not be
preachy or didactic. Stories should show the experience of a Christian
lifestyle. Today's real-life stage is not always the way to present
Biblical stories, but the use of vernacular language brings the setting
current to the reader. Use of concrete words instead of abstractive
language talks plainly withou the need for explanation. Refrain from
"talking down" to children. The familiar generic sense of the use of
"men", "mankind" should be terms substituted by "humankind", "Human beings"
or "everyone".
Word count must not exceed 2000 words. Use as a general guide:
for youngest readers, 400 words, middle grade to 1200 words, YA to 2000.
Categories are as follows:
A. Pre kindergarten/Kindergarten
B. Middle Grade
C. YA
