Got Muzzle?
Psalm 39:1, Colossians 4:5-6
Mike Graber
Have you ever come out of a situation, saying to
yourself, I wish I had not said that? Maybe a situation came up
and you took an action that you regretted later. These things can
happen unexpectedly before you have time to think of the right thing to
day or do.
David said in Psalm 39:1 "I will watch my ways and keep my
tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth as long as the wicked are
in my presence."
As Christians, we need to keep in mind that we are His
witnesses to t hose around us. The situation can be a work, around the
water cooler, in the break room, or at a place of leisure activities.
Colossians 4:5-6 has the answer. "Be wise in the way
you act toward outsiders, make the most of every opportunity. Let you
conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may
know how to answer everyone. Pray that Jesus will provide you with
this grace.
