One
writer tells us he learned all he needed to know in kindergarten.
Another e-mail circulating often tells us we can learn how to greet
and treat people from our dogs. There were even lessons recently from
the Easter Bunny. But I'm learning a lesson from my TULIPS.
We had lots of nights of well below freezing after they had their buds
ready to blossom. Then we got about 36 hours of 3.7 inches of wet
snow.
There were my tulips, all laid down on the ground and looking poorly.
Then yesterday I happened to give them a glance with the thought of cutting
some stems and bringing them into the house. Would put them in a bud
vase and see what happened.
Not to be! There were those tulips in full bloom even though they
were laying on the ground. Now that's determination! If that
tulip survived and goes on blooming, can we do less? Is that "bloom
where you are planted"? Or has God not finished letting you show off
your beauty?
