October 15, 2011
Dear Friends.
BSFK is pleased to honor the request of Mathew in the assistance of
Biblical materials for his "kids." His first letter to me was
December 2, 2010. Mathew had basically, on
his own, started Sunday School and Bible Classes for children in his
neighborhood church. There were over 100 children who visit the
classes on given occasions. While he was
grateful for the success, it had put a strain on his efforts to keep
up with materials for children.
We are glad to help out.
So far 6 boxes of books, Bibles, coloring pages, lesson materials,
sissors, colored pencils, crayons, etc. have been sent in the last 6
months.
For anyone to say that you cannot make a difference ... or take on
teaching ... Yes, you can. - Linda

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I love
the Lord my God and I think it is the reason why He is using me
to
minister and proclaim His word to the world through this Sunday
school and Bible study programs. I do not regret time spent in
it. Please take your time and identify yourself with me in the
ministry as a servant of God. You never know God may come to
live in you if only you live in Him.
In a special way I want to
thank Linda Shanks (BSFK DIRECTOR) in her service for the Lord
for providing for the study, and all those who are with me in
spirit and prayers for the service. May the Lord our God provide
for you abundantly.
A spiritually resourceful
generation such that the Gospel of God is spread to a wider
range and those Children involved in the study may look forward
to meeting their Lord God with no doubt when the time comes.
A home for the word of God
where children can meet to share, discuss, rejoice, acquire,
inquire from one another the works, wonders, promises, miracles
and experiences of their
Lord God.
Initiate them to Christ so
that they cannot be misled by the wonders of earthly lusts.
Develop the program to become
independent with a center established for the operation of its
activities where training can also be conducted to children and
study leaders as on leadership skills and spiritual nourishment.
HELP ME LORD IN THE SERVICE
YOU HAVE PLACED ME.
Mathew.

challenging.

December 28, 2012 - with permision to share.
Dear Linda,
Greetings in Jesus name.
Merry Christmas, I hope you had wonderful celebrations. We indeed
had a wonderful time together with quite a great number of kids,
youth, church leaders and elders from 5 Churches. The afternoon
began with a blessing of rain, which was quite unusual because this
time we experience dry spell lasting up to March or April (Nov -
Mar) but this time was a big blessing.
GCYL as an organization has picked up so well being embraced by the
Church leaders and impacting the lives of young people. I wish we
had the video covered, you would have seen games etc, I hope Mathew
was able to send you great in the lives of young people. I was
invited to speak in an overnight in one of the Churches that
participated in the Chrismas celebrations and we had also their
Sunday School teachers trained last time. It was surprising to see
the whole place of worship filled with Children and youth, I think I
was the oldest person in the room. The whole night
children sang, testified and some got saved. The situation here
years back was different in terms of Childrens ministry, but this is
becoming history by the grace of God.
I must say, thank you for great partnership, the churches received
the gifts of devotional materials with great joy and it's our prayer
that they
will use the books to help the children better. We shared meals
together, I told Mathew to take the actual number of children, it
was great. I believe that in years to come such get together for
children to be together is a great way of learning from each other.
Each Church had different
presentations to make which is a positive indication of one church
learning from another. May with time also having the churches bring
the children together for a whole day with a number of activities
will help children learn and the teachers as well.
May God continually bless you and guide you in all you do. Isa
58:11. Extend our sincere appreciation to all those who prayed,
supported and sent
the devotional materials etc and thank you for having a heart for
the children and youth here. Its our prayer that God enables us to
do what we
can when we are still able to the glory of his name. I share this
with you as the Patron, GCYL.
